The Kwerks are a high-energy, Philadelphia-based band that plays a quirky mix of covers and originals . From our group of eight you will hear guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, conga and other percussion, sax, harmonica, lead vocals and four backing singers. A sampling from our eclectic set list shows our quest for fun and variety: Signed, Sealed, Delivered (Stevie Wonder), Last Train to Clarksville (The Monkees), Love Me Like a Man (Bonnie Raitt), Genius of Love (Tom Tom Club), Caramel (Suzanne Vega), and originals like Strings and Fingers and Let Go . Our covers are always done with a twist.
The Kwerks are a relatively new band, but have also been playing together for four years with singer Erin Flynn as a children’s band. We have played at World Café Live , the Please Touch Museum , The Sedgwick Cultural Center and Pastorius Park in Philadelphia, and The Children’s Museum of Manhattan . The music from our CD, “Dreamers of Dreams,” has been featured on WXPN’s Kid’s Corner. As The Kwerks, we have played at World Café Live , The Venetian Club and at parties and other locations in Philadelphia.
